COVID-19 Guidelines

Please ensure you are familiar with the guidelines below – they are for the safety of yourself and Hatch Farm staff.

  • You must not attend the stables if you or a person in your household has symptoms of Covid-19 or are in an isolation period
  • Social distancing(2m) must be adhered to at all times
  • We will be providing private or semi-private lessons only (must be from the same household)
  • We will be offering flatwork lessons only with pole-work and jumping being introduced at a later date
  • Please wait in the car until called for lesson. If you are walking please contact us in advance to discuss the child’s arrival and departure.
  • To ensure maximum numbers are not breached, please leave promptly after your lesson
  • There will be a 10-minute gap between lessons to allow previous rider to leave and tack to be cleaned
  • Parents must wait in the car whilst lesson takes place
  • Please do not touch any other horses whilst waiting
  • Hand gel (provided) must be used before you mount. Gloves are advised and must be sanitised
  • Riders must be capable of mounting the horse by yourself, (mounting block provided), adjusting their stirrups and tightening the girth. Training will be provided where needed
  • Riders MUST have their own HAT and riding stick where needed (Usual hour riders). We cannot lend hats, sticks or body protectors at this time
  • The office is for staff entry only
  • The toilet will be locked and not available. Please go before you leave home as we are not allowed to open ours
  • Rider must be confident to ride on their own in walk and be balanced in trot
  • Lessons to be paid for by bank transfer a minimum of 24 hours in advance. We cannot take cash payments. Riders will not be able to ride if the payment has not been received. Please use riders name and date as reference
